I've had this cold that I just cannot shake for the last five days. Normally, I'm down for a day or two and then I feel better if I get out and do things. Well, we went to the circus Saturday night and I got bad again on Sunday. Then I tried playing some tennis Monday night and I'm down again today.
It's just the standard cold: runny nose, sneezes, sore throat, and cough. But like many busy mamas (heck, any busy person in our modern world, period), I do not have time to be sick. Luckily, Xavier is an expert Netflix and Wii user, so he can occupy himself in my bedridden state :) Plus, he had preschool on Friday and Monday, so that gave me a chance to rest, too.
So this is what I've been trying so that I can get rid of this stinkin' cold...
NyQuil so I can sleep, along with Vaporub and a humidifier so I can breathe. Airborne to boost my immunity. Chicken noodle soup and hot tea to soothe my throat and open my sinuses. But nothing is working! I guess it's just one of those colds you have to be patient with and give yourself the time to recover.
Any other tips on kicking a cold?
